In these pages I will be showing you some tricks and tips that I have learned to help you enhance your scrapbook pages. |
| Here are some ways to get your scrapbooking things organized |
TELL A STORY I find it best to always have some type of writing on my scrapbook pages. This is not only for my benefit but for others who look at my pages, they will know what the event is or even when it was.
PHOTOS If you're like me I have to many pictures and not enough time to scrapbook. I usually go through them all and decide which ones I want to scrapbook and which ones I want to put away. Remember Scrapbooking is about your photos, have fun taking as many pictures as you can. The more pictures you take the more you have to choose from.

SAY WHO'S IN YOUR PHOTOS When I look back at some of my old pictures I wonder who they were. Make sure when Scrapbooking your photos you say who's in the pictures. This will help you ten years down the road.
ORGANIZING YOUR SCRAPBOOKING ITEMS I've been scrapbooking for several years now. One thing that has helped me in the past year was to have my stuff organized. Yes, it may take me a little to find it but usually I was looking in the right place. Keep punches together, pens together, and pages together. Things that belong together make sure they stay together. |
| STICKERS
You can never say you have to many. I have a ton and I keep on buying. But you never know when you might want to use them. Stickers are the best way to add something to your page along with your writing. Stickers can tell things that you may not be able to draw yourself. Enjoy buying them, and enjoy most of all using them on your pages. And they are relatively inexpensive.

PAPER
I could spend hours at the craft store just looking at all the paper. But I found for myself its helpful to know what you will be scrapbooking then you know what your looking for at the store. Enjoy using anything from plain colored paper to pattern paper. Its all about what you like to see. Try new things and have fun.
| HAVE A WORK AREA
After scrapbooking out of a bag for years this past year I made myself a little scrapbooking area. This has been one of the greatest things that I have done when it comes to Scrapbooking. Its nice to know I can scrapbook anytime of the day and not have to put my stuff away when I'm done. I've found that I scrapbook more now that I have an area to work at.

SHARING SCRAPBOOKING
SUPPLIES
There is nothing like sharing each others scrapbooking supplies. Whether it is some paper, or scrapbooking tools, or even advice on a page. Its always great to share ideas and help others out if they are having problems with a page layout.
SCRAPBOOKING MAGAZINES Why didn't I buy them sooner. If you don't get a scrapbooking magazine now is the time. There are some really good magazines out there such as Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Better Homes Scrapbooks etc. and Memory Makers. These four magazines have given me ideas plus helpful little hints, which I'm sure we all look for. Buy one and see if you fall in love with them as much as I did.
HAVE FUN What is Scrapbooking if your aren't having any fun. Scrapbooking is a time to relax and watch your pages come together right in front of your eyes. If scrapbooking isn't fun anymore I think you need to ask yourself why am I not having fun anymore. Enjoy scrapbooking, enjoy watching pages being filled with pictures and writing, enjoy making albums. Always remember scrapbooking is FUN
